Jim has authored or co-authored multiple bestselling books, including Arbinger’s international bestsellers, Leadership and Self-Deception, The Anatomy of Peace, and The Outward Mindset. In his role as Arbinger’s managing partner, Jim directs the development of our training and consulting programs and the development and customization of our intellectual property. He has provided training and consulting internationally to leaders and organizations across a broad range of industries.

Jim has degrees in economics and philosophy and is a graduate of Yale Law School, where he serves on the Yale Law School Executive Committee. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Brigham Young University Law School and is a member of the California Bar Association. He is a skilled cyclist and enjoys riding hundreds of miles per week.

Mitch Warner is a bestselling author and Arbinger managing partner with a background in healthcare and organizational turnaround. He joined Arbinger from Plum Healthcare, where he was an administrator and heavily involved in operationalizing Arbinger’s work into the fabric of Plum’s culture.

Mitch received his B.A. in philosophy and is a licensed nursing administrator. Trained in fine art at the Art Students League and the National Academy, he spends much of his free time painting. His work hangs in organizations nationwide.

Michael is a seasoned executive, facilitator, and speaker who brings more than 20 years of management experience to his work with Arbinger’s clients. That experience makes Michael acutely aware of the challenges faced by his clients and enables him to provide real, practical help and engender a tremendous level of trust. Michael speaks regularly to a variety of audiences around the world and from a wide range of industries, including healthcare, retail, energy, banking, and software. Among the organizations Michael has helped are Google, IBM, Microsoft, Citi, ASICS, Rio Tinto, and Shell Oil.

As a member of Arbinger’s executive team, Michael leads Arbinger’s programs with multinational corporations around the world and oversees Arbinger’s consultants, speakers, and facilitators. Prior to joining Arbinger, Michael served in the White House under President Reagan, then held a number of key management positions in the U.S. and internationally with Procter and Gamble, Pillsbury, and Reckitt-Benckiser.

Michael earned a B.A. from Columbia University, an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Michael is an active member of his community, having served on the board of directors and in leadership positions for a number of community organizations.

Director, Government Practice

As a former U.S. Army Colonel with more than two decades of distinguished leadership and operational experience in the Intelligence and Special Operations communities, Cameron delivers an incredibly unique and valuable perspective to his audiences. He is passionate about this topic and speaks persuasively about how to overcome the challenges inherent in measuring the impact of multifaceted efforts like training. Cameron holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational psychology and a master’s degree from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. He works extensively with the Boy Scouts of America, having served in various leadership positions over the past 25 years. He has lived on five continents and traveled to more than 75 countries. In his free time, Cameron enjoys traveling, hiking, and outdoor activities.

Cindy Whiston

Cindy Whiston has more than 30 years of experience in consulting, training, and large account relationship management—experience that she seamlessly weaves into her speaking and facilitation to create powerful learning moments for her audiences. Her areas of expertise include leadership development, strategic planning, accountability and work-life programs, communications, and coaching for improved performance. She has spoken to audiences of all sizes, including at Turner Construction, Microsoft, and Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Cindy has served over 8,000 individuals in corporations and government agencies. She was recognized by Microsoft as “Best in Class,” with top scores for excellence in coaching and facilitation. Cindy’s background includes management and sales roles at IBM as well as consulting, training, and territory management responsibilities in the Pacific Northwest. She is currently school board president at St. Perpetua School in California. She earned a B.S. from Arizona State University in communication and supports the Girl Scouts, Smile Train, and local food banks. She enjoys yoga in her free time.

In addition to serving as a senior consultant with Arbinger, Charles “Chip” Huth is a Major with the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department. He has 26 years of law enforcement experience, commands KCPD’s Special Operations Division, and is the State of Missouri’s defensive tactics subject matter expert. He also consults for international law enforcement, military, and corporate clients. He formerly led the Street Crimes Unit Tactical Enforcement Squad and has planned, coordinated, and executed over 2500 high-risk tactical operations.

Chip’s speeches are entertaining and inspiring, linking his law enforcement experiences with Arbinger principles. Chip has a bachelor’s degree in multi-disciplinary studies from Grantham University and an associate’s degree in political science from Park University. He is the former president of the National Law Enforcement Training Center, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to delivering effective training to the international law enforcement, corrections, security, and military communities. He has 35 years of experience in martial arts and is a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Tom Weeks has a breadth of experience driving successful transformation in various environments and from various roles, for example as a facilitator and coach in a large technical organization, an executive managing a global IT team, and most recently as an Arbinger consultant. He has a passion for helping build effective organizations that deliver outstanding results.

Tom has spoken and taught extensively at conferences and professional gatherings from many industries with a particular focus in technology, supply chain, and operations. Some of these engagements include speeches at Target, the Shingo Institute, Americas’ SAP Users Group, and the BYU Management Society. Attendees comment that his genuine passion, clear perspective, and earnest demeanor foster engagement and understanding...particularly for the analytical thinker.

With over 20 years of experience in IT and digital technology, Tom helps organizations tackle technology problems through a combination of solid delivery, effective process, and focused team building. As a business owner, consultant, and manager, he has seen firsthand the positive impact of an outward mindset on productivity and overall organizational effectiveness. He helps teams by building mutual respect, extending trust, and inspiring ambition at the project and career levels.

Tom has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Harbert School of Business at Auburn University. He spent many years working and living in Asia and speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese. He spends much of his free time working with youth groups in both athletic leagues and social support roles. Tom loves the outdoors and is most content while in the ocean surfing, snorkeling, or swimming, but also enjoys traveling, reading, playing tennis, and cooking for others.

Since 1993, Mike has consulted and facilitated internationally with senior leaders of corporations, nonprofits, and government agencies on the topics of leadership development and influence, change management, conflict resolution, strategic alignment and execution, and improving personal and organizational performance.

Mike is the chairman of the board for Anasazi Foundation, a nonprofit and nationally accredited behavioral healthcare provider for youth, young adults and their families. He has chaired numerous councils and committees on best practices for the treatment of adolescents in the care of behavioral healthcare providers.

Mike is an expert in strategic communications. In 2004, he developed the communication component at the heart of the Emmy-nominated “Take Time to Talk” substance-abuse awareness and prevention campaign currently used by the Partnership for a Drug-free America. He is the founder of the Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare Council, the past president of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), and the recipient of the 2017 NATSAP Leadership Award.

Mike coaches NGO leaders worldwide on measuring, improving, and reporting social impact. He facilitates for the Forever Young Foundation Nonprofit Institute and is a past president of the Arizona Management Society.

Mike is a graduate of Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management, where he was named the 2016 Outstanding Professional. He and his wife Gaylene are the parents of seven red headed and musical children, three of whom form the Country Music trio Firefly.
