If you already have an Arbinger Portal account, you should:
- Log into the Arbinger Portal.If you do not have an Arbinger Portal account, you should:
- Go to arbinger.com/registerParticipants who have an existing Arbinger Portal account and who have been provided a Course License Code can use the "+" button to register for and add the course to their Course Materials section.
In the portal, on the top right, click on the user profile and navigate to User Tools, from there you can add an alternate email.
Alternate emails can be used to sign into the portal, and can receive all email notifications that would go to your primary email.
At the top of any arbinger.com page, click on "PORTAL" in the top right-hand corner.
I have received an invitation to a course.
- Open the email.I am attending a course and have a physical workbook.
- Locate the Course License Code on the back cover of the workbook.I am not attending a course but would like to create an Arbinger Portal account.

For Developing and Implementing and Outward Mindset, Outward Inclusion: If you are using a digital workbook for these courses, participants will receive an invitation to access these courses from their administrator. No code is required. For the printed workbook version, you will find your code on the last page of the workbook.
For Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset Classic, Outward Mindset in Public Safety, Outward Mindset in Education: Course participants should receive their code from the facilitator during the course. Administrators can find the registration codes in the administrator dashboard of the Arbinger portal.
For Outward Leadership: The code can be found on the last page of the workbook.
For Outward Mindset Online: For Outward Mindset Online bundled with Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset and Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset Classic, participants will automatically gain access to the course with the Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset materials. For stand-alone purchases of Outward Mindset Online, participants will receive an invitation to access this course from their administrator.
What is the difference between Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset & Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset Classic?
Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset (DIOM) Classic - This is the previous version of the Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset (DIOM) course. The materials were contained in a blue box and included a physical workbook, physical copies of Leadership and Self-Deception and The Outward Mindset, a Game Plan card, a table top name plate, and a pen.
Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset (DIOM) - This is the updated version of Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset (DIOM). It includes the digital workbook, access to Outward Mindset Online, and downloadable, ebook versions of Leadership and Self-Deception and The Outward Mindset.
You will recieve a notification email once the course licenses codes have been added to your portal account.
Once logged into the portal, you will see the Administrator Dashboard at the top of the page.
If you don't see the Administrator Dashboard at the top of the page, double-check that you have logged in with the email account that was granted administrator privileges.

Yes, participants can accept/decline an emailed Course Invitation before (or without) completing the registration process.
If you are facilitating a Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset (Classic) workshop you can either:

A Course License Code is consumed once a participant accesses or clicks into the corresponding course in the Course Materials section.
If a participant has not accessed the Course Materials, then the corresponding Course License can be reassigned (to another participant) or added back to the Available Licenses section.
Scheduling a Course is how course participants receive access to the Course Materials (including the digital workbook). Additionally, scheduling a course:
- Allows the participant to accept or decline the invitationWe recommend you schedule a course at least 48 hours before the start time of the course.
To schedule a course, you will need to have the correct amount of available licenses.
No, the Administrator or Facilitator will need to reserve/block the date and time(s) for the course by sending a separate calendar invite to each participant (using your internal email/calendar system).
Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset, Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset Classic, Outward Inclusion, and/or Outward Mindset Online.

Course License Codes are a 16-digit unique code that authenticates a participant to access course materials.
A Course License allows an Administrator to assign a Course License Code to course participants.
Licenses are essentially the same thing as seats, but we try to use the term “course licenses” when describing the mechanism for assigning and managing access to a course.
"Invited" indicates that a participant has been invited to a course.
"Accepted" indicateds that a participant has completed the registration process for a course.
"In Progress" indicates a participant is actively taking a course.
"Completed" indicates a participant has completed a course.
"Declined" indicates a participant has declined the invitation to take a course.
Module Completion Status is currently only calculated from Outward Mindset Online.
Outward Mindset Online completion is calculated based on the number of completed videos viewed by a participant.
A course is changed to Completed status once a participant submits the Course Evaluation in the digital workbook.
After submitting the Course Evaluation, the participant can also print their course completion certificate.
